Rabee Kanafani
Rabee grew up
regularly going to the cinema. This was a foundational experience for him, as
he soaked up the textural soundscapes of the music made for the big screens and
the emotions behind the motion pictures.
Rabee is
passionate about creating visceral music. He drew inspiration from the people around
him, nature, and the incredible experiences we go through as humans. For Rabee,
music has always been an inward search and an introspective and cathartic
exploration.
In music Rabee explores the symbolism behind light, darkness, spirituality, and the meaning of life. His compositions are poignant and emotionally moving.
To keep you up to date with what’s going on in Groningens scene, UNDFND will host sets from DJ’s and producers in Groningen and its surroundings.
The first set featured on UNDFND SETS has been commissioned by EXILED, who’s also known as Kevin van Es.
One hour filled with straight up booming techno, and other UNDFND sounds that are influenced by bass house, electro, minimal, and some other things for you to decide.
Exiled (Kevin van Es) is a starting producer and experienced DJ from Tynaarlo, The Netherlands. He has been a fan of electronic music from a young age. Back then his motto already was: “Music is Art”!
He’s currently working on his DJ and producing skills, and is aiming to push his own boundaries. At UNDFND we fully support this and are proud to showcase his abilities behind the decks!
Our music is only available for purchase through Bandcamp. Other stores take a too high share. Also we haven’t developed our own store yet.
UNDFND’s first release showcases four tracks that originate from producers and DJ’s from groningen.
First up is Jos Lok his trippy, punchy track “Beyond Catastrophia”. A 4×4 kick drum
relentlessly keeping your attention while strange vocals with trippy percussion
tries to take you out there.
“Into This Array” by Voorman showcases a real techno banger. A slowly developing
melody falls apart during the second drop, while the thumping kick drives the track
forward.
Next up is “Sugardaddy” by Dubtato; a vocal heavy uk garage track with bouncy drums
and an on-going bass line. Different sections through the track keep your mind
and your body occupied through the track.
Finally we have “Daze” from Mathijs Smit, a carefully crafted electro banger,
slowly rising to a crescendo at the final drop. Starting with a drumloop which
subtly transforms into a mind-blowing whirlpool of sound, this one is a theme
to stay in your playlist for a while.
