Petroll is a young producer from Groningen, The Netherlands. With releases on the rising label Differential, Skank & Bass, Celcius recordings, Soul Lab and Influenza Media and with exciting collaborations with Arch Origin, Dustkey, vocalist Lottie Woordward, Aetherial and Alex Tweaker he has presented his sound to the drum and bass scene.
This mix was inspired by the Covid-19 outbreak. So used to DJing every weekend for the last two years, and spending every free summer day partying at some festival or stage, it was hard having to sit at home alone. Like many, I felt isolated and became very insecure about the future and importance of DJs, performers, the nightlife and art in general. This led to a strange kind of anger directed at the people I normally love and adore.
This mix is the attempt to turn this anger into something positive. You’ll hear songs that motivate you to keep going and never forget how awesome and wholesome the nightlife is; reminding you what it’s like to dress up in amazing styles and find love and acceptance in dancing together in the dark.

I started DJing in 2014 because I wanted to dance to more alternative music than the Groningen scene had to offer at that time. Soon after that I became a part of the team of radio Oorsmeer, a local, weekly, underground and hipster radio show that has been running for over ten years.
After years of working and DJing mostly in the live music scene of Groningen, in particular that of jazz and indie bands, I’m now taking my first steps into the more electronic dance music genres. The result is a unique sound that transcends the limits of any specific genre but is notably, and without a doubt, me.
For UNDFND SET #5 we have Nicolò Faggiani; the Groningen-based vinyl master!
The mix reflects such a passion for music, including some of his favorite atmospheric dub techno and ambient tracks from his vinyl collection. This musical journey is a moment of suspension from everyday life to dive into an alternative world shaped by echoes, reverbs, and infinite sonic landscapes.
It features old records from godfathers of dub techno such as Deepchord, Fluxion, Cv313 as well well recent releases discovered during a long process of selection and listening.
At the end of the mix, you can also recognize Nicolò’s dub-reggae influence, with some tracks paying homage to such a music genre.

Nicolò Faggiani
Founder of the music network and podcast series E.M.C. -Electronic Music Culture, Nicolò Faggiani approached the decks in 2010, developing during years a deep love for vinyl and underground electronic music genres such as dub techno, ambient, and experimental music.
In parallel with E.M.C., Nicolò co-founded Italy in Dub in 2014, a web radio dedicated to dub-reggae music and sound system culture, while in 2019 he launched an ambient experimental duo project called Synthbiont & Anassimandrus which was supposed to debut at Mo.Dem festival this summer.
UNDFND Set 004 is by no one other than Groningen-based Marcuz Deniz.
The minimal and house loving DJ and enthousiast has prepared a juicy mix for us. Filled with jazz house, deep house and everything in between, this one is perfect to listen to during these hot days!
Marcus himself is busy with different concept including 7even, and the Boys Locker Room podcast series. Be sure to check these out if you like his sound!

Marcus Deniz
Marcus Deniz has been keeping himself busy with a lot of creative yet straightforward material. Being active in photography, music production, DJ’ing and hosting his own parties, he won’t be stopping anytime soon.
Starting out in photography work and collaborations, he met some people who also played out records in clubs, which inspired him to do the same.
Already having an interest in all things music, he started delving deeper into groovey house and clubby minimal territory, and would be on the lookout for the next best records to play, slowly but steadily building up his collection.
After a while, he created his event series, which was called 7even Collective. The premiere would be called Time Vault, which was themed about taking us back in time to club culture 20 years ago.
Next to that, he’s done sets already for Hello Strange podcasts and
Deep Electronics, upping his name and also his game.
He currently also has his BOYS LOCKER ROOM Series, in which they showcase many styles of electronic music, with a continuously growing audience.

Jos Lok
Jos Lok is a DJ and producer residing in the beautiful city of Groningen, the Netherlands. Jos has been obsessed with rhythmical sounds from a young age. As a result of his encompassing love for music, Jos started playing the drums when he was nine years old.
After a few years of going through the metal music repertoire and playing in a band he acquired a new taste in music. Evidently, he started producing his own Techno and House. A stripped down beat, groovy bass and just the right chords or another melodic component is the perfect formula for inspiration for Jos.
His music has been released on labels such as Archipel and Vivus records. Jos Lok receives support from artist like Pheek, Christhoper Ledger, David Gtronic and Noah Skelton.
To keep you up to date with what’s going on in Groningens scene, UNDFND will host sets from DJ’s and producers in Groningen and its surroundings.
The first set featured on UNDFND SETS has been commissioned by EXILED, who’s also known as Kevin van Es.
One hour filled with straight up booming techno, and other UNDFND sounds that are influenced by bass house, electro, minimal, and some other things for you to decide.
