You’re in an abandoned warehouse. In front of you is a speaker-stack which stretches from wall to wall and floor to ceiling. The track you hearing through the speaker-stack is euphoric, warm and filled with happy melodies. You are dancing wildly to this sound, and so are the 3000 people around you. The vibe is good and you won’t stop dancing until you’ve figured out where you parked your car.
Three days later, when you found your car and got home, you figured out a track from Klapstoel his debute EP was playing.

Petroll is a young producer from Groningen, The Netherlands. With releases on the rising label Differential, Skank & Bass, Celcius recordings, Soul Lab and Influenza Media and with exciting collaborations with Arch Origin, Dustkey, vocalist Lottie Woordward, Aetherial and Alex Tweaker he has presented his sound to the drum and bass scene.

Music flows & music unites!🎶
This has been proven during our first record store session so the most logical thing is to throw another record store session at De Jongens van Hemmes! Because what’s better than combining live music, crate-digging and meeting new people?!😍
For this session we have three diverse artists who’ll all play a one hour set of the music they like, love and enjoy playing:
Jos Lok (17:00 – 18:00)
Ulst (18:00 – 19:00)
Dubtato (19:00 – 20:00)
Furthermore we’ll make sure that the record-store is in line with the current corona-measures. That’s why we’ll also set-up a live-stream so everyone can enjoy the session from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
And with the entrance being a whopping €0-, we cannot think of any reasons to not see you for an (online) Friday afternoon drink!🥂
This mix was inspired by the Covid-19 outbreak. So used to DJing every weekend for the last two years, and spending every free summer day partying at some festival or stage, it was hard having to sit at home alone. Like many, I felt isolated and became very insecure about the future and importance of DJs, performers, the nightlife and art in general. This led to a strange kind of anger directed at the people I normally love and adore.
This mix is the attempt to turn this anger into something positive. You’ll hear songs that motivate you to keep going and never forget how awesome and wholesome the nightlife is; reminding you what it’s like to dress up in amazing styles and find love and acceptance in dancing together in the dark.

I started DJing in 2014 because I wanted to dance to more alternative music than the Groningen scene had to offer at that time. Soon after that I became a part of the team of radio Oorsmeer, a local, weekly, underground and hipster radio show that has been running for over ten years.
After years of working and DJing mostly in the live music scene of Groningen, in particular that of jazz and indie bands, I’m now taking my first steps into the more electronic dance music genres. The result is a unique sound that transcends the limits of any specific genre but is notably, and without a doubt, me.
